Car Insurance Pontiac (Car Insurance). Dont you just hate slow drivers on one lane roads?Dont you just hate slow drivers on one lane roads? dont u just hate that. esp on those one lane roads..and have to wait several miles before u can make a clear pass.....if i can pass you doing only about 60 that means you drive entirely to slow!! Depend on how slow but as you put it, well sometimes that is just to slow. But for me it will depend, I drive the speed limit, usally 5 MPH over the speed limit, but I and a lot of people will do... if you are riding my bumper I will just drive slow... but most people just don't get the message that I'll drive faster if you back off. So make sure you are not the problem. As far as one answer, try tapping my bumper, we will be stopped while I check for damage to my car...and if you drive off I'll see that hit and run gets added to it. Yes!!! I get those a lot when I drive to school. It's quite frustrating and I get really tempted sometimes to just hit their bumper to give them a heads up. Driving slowly is good for your and pedestrains' safe. I hate a slow driver blocking the fast lane worse. On a one lane road I can understand that not everyone wants to drive as fast as I do. Pontiac . How to Change the Battery in a Dodge CaravanCar batteries only last for so many years under the best conditions. Dodge Caravan batteries are no exception. Sooner or later, you're going to run into a dead or dying battery. Replacing it is a relatively benign task, but car batteries are heavy. There is also a right way and a wrong way to replace the battery in a Caravan. Because battery acid is caustic, its vapors can leak through the vents, creating a flammable gas. If a spark emits from the battery terminal connections, it can explode leading to serious or fatal injuries. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Safety glasses Work gloves Ratchet, extension and socket set Hand wrench set Channel-lock pliers Battery terminal and post cleaning tool Baking soda, water and an old toothbrush Replacement battery Battery terminal protector spray Step by Step : 1 Put on safety glasses and work gloves and open the hood to locate the battery. 2 Remove the battery hold-down clamp using the ratchet, extension (if necessary) and suitable sized socket. 3 Disconnect the negative battery terminal clamp first using a hand wrench to loosen the clamp's retaining bolt and nut. Twist the terminal clamp, once the bolt is loose, with a pair of Channel-lock pliers. The negative battery terminal clamp is indicated by a minus sign stamped on the battery housing. Removing this first will prevent sparks from emitting from the battery when you remove the positive terminal clamp. 4 Disconnect the positive battery terminal clamp from the battery post in the same manner. The positive battery terminal is indicated by a plus sign stamped on the battery housing. 5 Carefully remove the battery from the engine compartment of the Caravan. 6 Clean the battery terminal clamps with a battery terminal and clamp cleaning tool. Use the stiff bristled wire brush to shine the lead terminals and create a better electrical contact. 7 Use a couple tablespoons of baking soda and warm water solution to clean the battery tray off if corrosion powder is present. Use an old toothbrush to scrub the solution around the surface of the tray. 8 Install the new battery, making sure you have the positive and negative battery posts on their respective sides near each of the appropriate cables. 9 Install the positive battery terminal clamp first and then re-tighten the clamp's retaining bolt and nut. Be sure the clamp cannot wiggle on the new battery post or you won't get a good electrical connection. Step by Step : 10 Install the negative battery terminal clamp last in the same manner as the positive. Step by Step : 11 Replace the battery hold-down clamp and re-tighten so the battery does not move. Vibrations from a loose battery can decrease the shelf-life of a battery. Step by Step : 12 Remove any tools that may be left in the engine compartment and then start the engine to test the efficiency of the replacement battery. Step by Step : 13 Spray the battery terminal clamps and posts with battery terminal protector spray. This will help prevent the clamps from corroding. You don't have to be worried about getting the spray on the battery housing. It won't damage the battery. Tips & Warnings For later versions of the Dodge Caravan that feature theft-deterrent radios and internal alarms, plug a computer memory saver into the power source (cigarette lighter port) before disconnecting the battery. These devices use a 9-volt battery and are inexpensive. They're available at most auto parts stores and will prevent you from losing radio codes or alarm codes.
Pontiac . How to Remove and Change Car Battery TerminalsReplacing battery terminals is not a common automotive repair but it does happen on occasion if the battery is neglected. Corrosion buildup is one of the leading causes to require battery terminals to be replaced. There are a few different styles of terminal clamps that require different procedures to replace them but the overall concept is the same. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Box-end wrench set Ratchet and socket set Wire cutters Battery specific terminal replacements Channel locks Heavy gauge butt connector crimpsTop Post Battery Step by Step : 1 Open the hood and then disconnect the black-wired negative battery terminal clamp from the battery first. Use a box-end wrench or a ratchet and socket. 2 Disconnect the red-wired positive battery terminal clamp next. 3 Use a pair of wire cutters to snip off the clamp if the wires run inside the lead terminal clamp with no disconnection option. Some top post terminals will feature retaining screw clamps. For this style, simply use the wrenches or ratchet and a suitably sized socket to remove the retaining screws and then remove the clamp from the wire. 4 Snip the exposed wires back with the wire cutters if necessary to remove any corroded ends on the wires. Strip the plastic wire covering, if there is one, to expose the open wire to the battery terminal. Be sure to leave enough room on the wire to attach to the clamp and properly reach the battery top post. 5 Reattach the replacement battery terminal. Most replacement terminals do not require internal connection of the battery wires. Simply place the exposed wire inside the retaining clamp and tighten the retaining bolts. 6 Install the red-wired positive battery terminal first and then the black-wired negative battery terminal next. Be sure to tighten the clamps so they're not loose on the battery post. Side Post Battery Terminals Step by Step : 1 Remove the black-wired negative battery terminal from the battery side post first. Use a wrench or a ratchet and socket. 2 Remove the lead battery bolt from the battery terminal by prying it out with a pair of channel locks. Pull the black covering off the terminal and then cut the wire below the clamp with a pair of wire cutters. 3 Repeat Step 2 for the red-wired positive side post terminal. 4 Insert the exposed wire into the replacement terminal and then crimp the end tightly against the wire with the heavy gauge wire crimps. Replace the red plastic terminal covering and then insert the lead battery bolt into the terminal. Use the channel locks to help but be careful not to mar the hex-headed end of the lead bolt. Repeat this step for the black-wired negative terminal. 5 Install the red positive terminal to the battery first and then tighten the battery lead with a wrench or socket and ratchet. Install the black negative terminal last and tighten the battery lead. The brake pedal pushes against another piston in a cylinder located under the hood of your car. This is called the master cylinder, and it is filled with a liquid called brake fluid. 3. When the piston in the master cylinder is pushed by your brake pedal, it forces the brake fluid out of the master cylinder into tubes called brake lines, which run to each wheel of your car. Pontiac . Why is your rodeo running jerky or jumpy at low speeds?
Peugeot 505. * 4. The wheel has either a disc brake or a drum brake. To keep it simple, I'll just look at disc brakes here. (Drum brakes work on the same general principles; see Chapter 10.) A disc brake is composed of a flat steel disc (surprise!) sandwiched between a pair of calipers, as shown in Figure 4-13. These calipers contain one or more little pistons that are forced into the disc by the brake fluid. Part II: What Makes It Go?. Figure 4-13: Atypical disc brake. 5. Brake pads located between the disc and the pistons grab the disc with their rough asbestos surfaces and force the disc to stop turning. This forces the wheel to stop turning. When the wheels stop turning, the car comes to a stop. 6. Pontiac . What cause the volkwagen check engine light to come on and off?

Four-wheel disc brakes are standard on most new vehicles. Other vehicles have disc brakes on the front wheels and drum brakes on the rear wheels. A few older cars have drum brakes all around. Chapter 10 tells you all about both kinds of brakes and how power brakes and parking brakes work, and Chapter 18 shows you how to check the brake system on your car to see whether it's in good shape and how to do simple brake work. Now that you've got the general picture of how the various systems in your car work together, the rest of this part goes into detail about each system. Then Part III shows you how to keep each automotive system functioning smoothly with simple maintenance and easy repairs. If your car is behaving erratically, check out Chapter 20 for a guide to various symptoms and what they mean. If you encounter something that you can't handle, Chapter 22 tells you how to find a good service facility and become its favorite customer. Pontiac . Why won't the overdrive work on a 1994 probe?
